MEET THE HIGH PRIESTESSES
aka, the about us section, but with ✨spice✨
Wallace Joiner
Originally from Memphis, now based in Nashville, Wallace has incorporated vintage clothing and home decor into her style since the 1980s. She has fond memories of collecting many pieces of her vast collection. She’s GenX (and a little bit punk), and she’ll do just about anything in a dress! She cares deeply about the planet, and she hates being marketed to.
SJ Smith
The Memphis based correspondent of this duo, SJ is passionate about helping people incorporate vintage into their regular lives. She teaches aerial arts and you won’t find any vintage in the gym, and that’s ok, it’s not practical! Vintage should enhance your life, not obligate the wearer to cosplay as someone they are not. Clothes are costumes and should be fun.
What’s our deal?
We’re here to save you time and energy when you need to pull a great outfit or your entire wardrobe together by offering sustainably sourced vintage (1950s–1990s) to modern (Y2K–now) clothing and accessories.

We curate a selection of clothes that are in great shape, look fantastic, and are in a broad range of sizes and styles. And we will be evangelical about you being the best YOU that ever YOUed while also being nice to our planet.
Are we actually a cult? You decide.
cult
/kǝlt/noun
1. A religious system or religious beliefs of extreme devotion focused on a person or thing
2. Individuals or small groups who share religious beliefs and/or practices that may seem strange to others. 3. Admiration or devotion towards a person or thing that is perceived as excessive, misplaced, or misguided.
Are we obsessed? Yes. Is it a small group? Yes (though we get new members almost daily). Is it religious? No. Is it extreme devotion? Yes. Is it misguided or misplaced? No.
We are obsessed with vintage clothing in general. We love the patterns, design and construction, silhouette, colors, and many (not all) of the fabrics used in bygone eras. We also appreciate modern well-made garments that get us through the day-to-day of modern life. We possess unwavering admiration for people who share our passion for having their own sense of style, and we’re fond of the tight-knit community that vintage enthusiasts tend to cultivate. We are hopelessly devoted to celebrating bodies of all shapes, sizes, and colors. We love the planet and are dedicated to doing our part to keep Mother Nature beautiful. Trash is a big problem, whether we like to own that or not. And don’t get us started on the horrors of the fast fashion industry—sweatshops, excessive and exhausting marketing perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards, mass production, waste and runoff, etc. It’s not pleasant, and you can easily stop contributing to it and relying on it with us.
